This April 12, we celebrate Yuri Gagarin's first human spaceflight (1961), the space shuttle's first flight (1981) and all of the people onboard the space station today who are preparing us for future moon missions. #InternationalDayofHumanSpaceflight Astronaut Kate Rubins photographed the moonrise from the International Space Station when she was an Expedition 49 Flight Engineer in September 2016. #nasa #astronaut #moon #earth #international #space #station
