Discover how Anchorage artist Dawn Gerety celebrates the beauty of Alaska through Under the Midnight Sun, her Coca-Cola Paint the Nation mural created in celebration of America250. Inspired by Alaska’s long summer days, the mural reflects the wildlife, salmon, water, flowers, vivid colors, and extraordinary light that make summers in Anchorage unique. For Dawn, the mural is a love letter to her hometown and the moments that bring people together during an Alaska summer, from fishing at midnight to gathering with friends and making the most of every hour of daylight. Created in collaboration with Coca-Cola Bottling of Alaska, Under the Midnight Sun celebrates Anchorage, community, and America’s 250th birthday.
