April 3. Day 3 of Bryan’s home office.
This is an early 1980’s Russian travel map of Cuba. Two stories in one. I bought this in a Kansas City antique shop in between first and second lunch during a selectjon and donerikblack bbq food tour.
The map is pretty unique and I use it to show the places where I’ve traveled and where my friends live. #Cuba is so much more than Havana or Gitmo.

The Russians had a big influence there. You hear it in the names of friends like Sergio or Victor. You see it on the streets with little blue and red Lada sedans everywhere. So this map.
7 visits to that island. Friends today with people I met on my first trip in 2004. A reminder of the relationships built over the last 16 years. 🇨🇺
