When doing water related rescues such as this car into a canal incident, crews have to identify hazards that are present which include but are not limited to: • The volume of water. • The velocity of the water. • Debris in the water. • Hydraulics. • Depth of the water – rising / falling. Regular training decreases the chances for injury to us and our patient.
