With temps exceeding 150 degrees on the black top, our firefighter/paramedic(EMT) crews along with crews & help from townofqueencreek Fire and Medical & gilbertfiredept & sfmd_az_gov assured no other homes were impacted by this rapidly moving fire in SE Mesa. Lightweight, wood-frame buildings burn extremely fast and hot. If the fire breaks out of the room of origin, then it’s “off to the races.” As fire exits a room and vents to the outside of the structure, it will spread upward very rapidly, involving everything combustible in its path. This is why we put such a premium on our response times; the impact it has on occupant and firefighter safety along with property conservation is huge. #mesa #fire #firefighters #safety #ASafeEastValley #automaticaid #firecrew #firetruck #hotday #arizona #instagrampicoftheday #flames
