Throwback to when I graduated college and had dalocksmith sign my degree. I remember when I was 15 years old, pullin' up to Rasputin's in Hayward with my grandma in her scraper and getting my Frontline CD signed (This was the group Lock was a part of before he went solo). Then eight years later, I graduate from Cal so I go to the Rasputin's in Berkeley to buy myself a little graduation present - Locksmith's new CD, "A Thousand Cuts" and the cashier was like "aw man, you just missed him. He was here" - so I'm like...well he can't be far. So I called him (I was the President of the Hip Hop Club at UC Berkeley so I had his number because I had just booked him for Hip Hop in the Park) and he was like "I'm not in Berkeley anymore, but I'm down to meet you by the lake" and so there we are in the Trader Joe's Parking lot and we ended up just choppin it up for like two hours.
