In this week's #TuesdaysLit I'm featuring a Hip Hop children's book that I read to my Kindergarten class today. I forgot to mention in the video that it RHYMES, which is another thing I love about it. This book is great for introducing a lot of emcees and Hip Hop groups. I like having the students count the number of emcees in a group. It has a lot of old school emcees starting with Kurtis Blow but also includes more contemporary emcees like Nicki Minaj, Drake, and Kendrick Lamar. The art is a definite bonus! . 👉What are other kids Hip Hop books you know❔ . . . #kailalove #hiphop #hiphopeducation #literacy #reading #books #literature #read
