🎤Art of Rhyme - Final Class 🎤 I failed at my objective to have class song/visual. The nature of the after school program just doesn't allow it because of the inconsistency of students. It's very hard to build a continuous curriculum in that way. Somedays, like yesterday are more challenging than others. I have to take a new approach. . . I think I will be bringing in guest speakers to speak on/facilitate single day workshops focused on specific topics (examples: writing vs freestyling, battle rap, production) that way, it's always something new for students that consistently come but won't be a steep learning curve for those students that end up dropping in. . . . Also, I taught a writing/rapping workshop for middle school students in Marin City today and was invited back to do another one in 2 weeks. They want me to come back on a regular basis so that could be an opportunity to test out some new curriculum too. . . #kailalove #emcee #update #hiphop #education #literacy #students ...
