(4/7) - “Do it to the Max” – This bay slapper is dedicated to my #homie Max who was tragically taken in August of 2014. I’ve written several #pieces about him ranging from very #sad to #political, but none really reflected the #vibrant individual he was. He was an #emcee, #producer, #bboy, and visual #artist. He even made the hat that I’m wearing in this #picture. Exiting the #grieving stage meant finding ways to #honor his #life and look for ways to make sure he will always be remembered. It means I have a #responsibility to do it big whenever possible; to fully take advantage of my one life for the ones that lost theirs. During writing part of this song, my friend fairview_rossi lost his cousin, Terrance aka #TMack, also to gun violence. It hurt my #heart to see another young, #talented individual lose their life in such a senseless way so I wanted to pay #homage to him by mentioning him in this track.
