In fact, just over a year ago, she had no passport and never traveled outside of the United States. However, when she made the decision to come to Marist’s branch campus in Florence, Italy for the spring of her junior year, Sam never looked back and bravely embraced the unfamiliar territory head-on. “When I was growing up, I would go to New York City almost every weekend to take a dance class, [and] I kind of go back to that mindset now. I was there so much that I knew exactly where I was going every time, and that's kind of what it is.
