Western States is more than just a 100-mile race: for trail runners, it's the ultimate test of will; a dream hosted on a course full of steep climbs, high temperatures and mentally challenging obstacles. Last year, our co-founder devremon ran Western States for the first time, chasing her own dream and realizing it in 28 hours and 41 minutes. A year later, Monica reflected on her own journey to offer advice for the rabbits lining up this weekend in Olympic Valley:
- Embrace the Magic, Conquer the Journey!
- Start slow, savor every moment.
- Protect your quads, pace yourself downhill in the first half.
- Hydrate, fuel up, repeat.
- Stay fresh: use ice, change socks when wet.
- Feel it all, embrace the challenge.
- No sleep till Auburn! 🤠
Reminder: join us at the start line of Western States in Olympic Valley tomorrow morning at 9AM for our annual group shakeout run with
#rabbitPRO Adam Kimble. Enjoy some giveaways, meet fellow rabbits and kick off the celebration before race day. BY...
