Here's a look at the life of former US President George H.W. Bush, in photos. Bush was a son of a senator, celebrated World War II combat pilot, Texas oilman and a two-term congressman. After his own 1980 presidential campaign came up short, he served two terms as Ronald Reagan's vice president before winning the 1988 presidential election. The 41st President, whose steady hand and foreign policy vision led the nation through a period of sweeping global change, died at the age of 94. Bush will lie in state at the US Capitol before a memorial service at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC, with a second memorial service to follow at St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Houston. #georgehwbush #HWBush #41 #PresidentGeorgeHWBush #news #politics #cnn #cnnpolitics 📸: Rick Wilking/Reuters, George Bush Presidential Library and Museum, AFP/Getty Images, George Bush Presidential Library/HO/Reuters, Bettmann/Getty Images, Bob Daugherty/AP, Lawrence Jackson/AP, Eric Draper/White House/Reuter...
