A mountain lion was spotted in the middle of Las Vegas near Charleston Blvd and Valley View Blvd, at the Valley View by Welltower Living apartment complex. A resident named David Bliss caught the animal on his security camera, initially mistaking it for a bobcat until he noticed its long tail. The sighting occurred around 2 a.m., just feet away from a resident’s parking spot. David and another resident informed apartment management but realize there’s not much that can be done. In response, David has increased lighting around his home and adjusted his security system. Residents are urged to report any mountain lion sightings to the Nevada Department of Wildlife or call 911 in an emergency.
