The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Southern Nevada will be the first transportation agency to deploy AI technology to detect weapons on Las Vegas buses. Developed by ZeroEyes, this technology uses existing surveillance cameras to identify guns and other weapons displayed in a threatening manner. When a weapon is detected, an alert is sent to law enforcement within three seconds. The RTC’s commitment to safety began with a camera upgrade in 2022, following a deadly 2017 shooting incident on a bus. In response to recent violent crimes, RTC has also increased its security personnel. Nevada law requires a concealed-carry permit, and RTC prohibits illegal weapons on its buses. #realvegaslocals #lasvegas #lasvegasstrip #lasvegasblvd #vegas #vegaslocals #vegaslife #lasvegaslocals #lasvegaslocal #vegasborn #summerlin #henderson #hendersonnv #downtownlasvegas #eastfremont #northlasvegas #greenvalleyranch #nevada #clarkcounty #rtc #vegasbus #lasvegasbus #ai
