According to Forbes, Las Vegas is now one of the most expensive travel destinations in the U.S.
A recent study on inflation’s impact on tourism found that Las Vegas experienced substantial cost increases over the past five years:
Hotel prices rose by 47%
Car rental rates by 61%
Meal costs by 14%
In the last quarter of 2023, average expenses in Las Vegas included $252 per night for a hotel room, $77 per day for a rental car, and $98 daily for three meals.
Despite these rising costs, the study noted a slight decrease in airfare to and from Las Vegas, which could help offset some expenses for travelers. The analysis also pointed out that major casino companies in the city are benefiting from higher room rates, though there is concern that some tourists might reduce their spending due to the increased prices.
