Over Memorial Day weekend, Nevada State Police and the California Highway Patrol teamed up to enhance safety along a notorious stretch of I-15 in the Las Vegas Valley focused between Primm and St. Rose Parkway.
The operation aimed to eliminate fatalities during the holiday period.
Authorities issued 437 traffic citations and made two DUI arrests, one involving a driver clocked at 131 mph.
The enforcement efforts resulted in 325 violations for 311 drivers on Friday alone, with 215 for speeding.
Across Saturday to Monday, officers made 118 traffic stops, issued 81 speeding citations, and addressed 31 other violations, alongside 21 warnings.
The collaborative effort has helped decrease fatal crashes through increased enforcement and education.
