Alaska: The big mountain skiers dreamland… 💭 Alaska is known for steep spines, long descents, harsh winters, and the most unique ski landscape on the planet 🌎 People often say “if you’re not in Heli you can’t truly ski in AK” and that is so so so far from the truth. Over the coming weeks I’ll be releasing guides to the individuals who want to use their own to feet to experience the magical skiing lands of AK. 🎿 The three mentioned zones in this particular post zones that can be accessed via car and your own two feet. 👣 Hatcher pass is a zone found just an hour from Anchorage. Home to steep couloirs, big spine lines, and LONG descents (We had a 4K+ descent run). 🏔️ Thompsons Pass is regarded as the MECA of steep skiing. Bottomless snow, snow sticking to near vertical surfaces, and tons of tour accessible skiing. One of the most beautiful places I’ve been too. Truly magical 🧙 Valdez, AK | The coastal town nestled just 20 minutes from Thompson’s pass and the resting grounds ...
