The Vignes sisters are identical and very light-skinned. However, after the sisters run away from their small hometown, one moves on to pass as White, while the other marries a dark Black man. The book transitions between different time periods and shows how these decisions have affected the lives of their daughters.⁣ ⁣ I absolutely loved this book and the fresh perspective the author presented through each character. This book will stay in my heart forever. I highly recommend you pick this one up!
