Korean team DRX - led by a legendary tournament performance from midlaner Zeka and veteran ADC Deft - completed a miracle "Last Dance" as the underdogs caused the biggest upset in League of Legends World Championship history by beating LCK compatriots T1 in a tight finals, 3-2. Korea's fourth seed became the first team to ever make it to the finals after qualifying through play-ins before beating the most successful organization in League of Legends, led by the game's GOAT, Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok.
Kim "Deft" Hyeok-gyu said after the final in an Instagram post: "Every day, I was told I won't win worlds. That I am done, because of my injuries or because I am too old. And it took me 10 years to earn the right to look back at them, and say, 'You are wrong.' I hope me and my team's victory can bring hope to people out there that are going through times more difficult than me, for in the end, the unbreakable spirit matters the most."
