When Samantha was pregnant with our first child -Aubrin Sage- we had a forest themed baby shower, complete with John Muir quotes and dreams of a future exploring the outdoors with our child(ren). You learn a lot about yourself and those around you when you shed the every day luxuries and distractions that have become habitual and strip down to just the essentials. To be out here thriving as a family is literally what my dreams were made of and if I woke up tomorrow and realized that this was all indeed, just a dream, I would remain thankful for the illusion and set to work once again trying to cultivate it into existence.
