In the African region 🌍, noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) are called « the silent epidemic ».
Access to healthcare services for NCDs are unequally available across urban and rural settings, leaving many people living with NCDs without proper care and facing high costs.
With support from WHO and partners, countries including Sierra Leone, Mozambique, Uganda, Zimbabwe, and 13 others across the who_africa region are striving to enhance patient access to treatment. Bringing life-saving care for NCDs to first-level rural hospitals also ensures individuals receive the care they need to lead full and healthy lives. #HealthForAll#BeatNCDs
