There are assignments that feel like work, and then there are the ones that feel like gifts. Today I had the privilege of capturing the private unveiling of a new mural by Wyland, the artist USA Today once called the “Marine Michelangelo”. His murals have spent decades becoming symbols of ocean conservation, attracting millions of viewers and changing the way people see the sea. To document his newest work here, on a coastline I have spent years falling in love with through my own lens, meant more to me than I can put into words.
