Toners are not permanent and gradually fade out of the hair over time. Even if a clients hair lifts perfectly the toner will eventually fade out and the hair will go back to warm unless their hair is naturally a level 9-10. Here are a few things I recommend to my clients to help their hair from fading to yellow or brassy tones 1. Schedule maintenance toning appointments in between Blonding services. Toners can help maintain cool or ashy blondes tones. My go to toning line is redken shades EQ 🙌 2. Purple shampoo can be a blondes best friend if used the right way.
