After 18 years of marriage, with three beautiful daughters, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The very word “cancer” was so scary and lonely in those early days. But my community of caregivers refused to let me go to a dark place. They rallied me through the endless IVs, feeding tubes, and moments of self doubt.

Now 15 years since my diagnosis and 3 recurrences of stage 4 pancreatic cancer with numerous treatments from Dr. Von Hoff, leader of two #SU2C Pancreatic Cancer Dream Teams, I know that I’m one of the blessed ones. It’s one of the main reasons why I serve as a SU2C Patient Advocate and regularly speak to patients, to try to give them hope.

I hope you will join me this holiday season to help Stand Up To Cancer advance new treatments that are saving the lives of everyday people like me. 100% of every donation received by SU2C directly funds lifesaving research.
