OSSICON 2024 Kochi, the 21st National Conference of the Obesity & Metabolic Surgery Society of India, has commenced at Le Meridien Convention Center Kochi. This pioneering event is organized by the Minimally Invasive Surgery Department at VPS Lakeshore Hospital, Keyhole Clinic, Verwandeln Institute, and ASI Kerala Chapter. The inaugural session opened with a warm Welcome Address by Dr. R Padmakumar, the Organizing Chairman, followed by the Presidential Address delivered by Dr. Praveen Raj, President of OSSI. Dr. Gerhard Prager, President of IFSO, Vienna, inaugurated the esteemed gathering. Shri. S. K. Abdulla, MD of VPS Lakeshore Hospital, and Dr. Kuldeepak Singh Kular, Secretary of OSSI, also addressed the audience. Dr. Madhukar Pai, the Organizing Secretary, conveyed the vote of thanks.
