I wanted this scarf to feel like summer on the Vineyard—nostalgic, a little whimsical, and deeply rooted in place. Each town has its own story, so I included the ‘Entering’ signs of Edgartown, Chilmark, Tisbury, and Oak Bluffs in every corner. The gingerbread houses in Oak Bluffs sparked the whole design… they’re so playful and full of charm. I used hydrangeas, the lighthouse, even little oysters as polka dots—details that feel familiar if you’ve been, and transportive if you haven’t. And the color? It’s this soft lilac-purple. A nod to the Vineyard’s name, and the flowers that cover the island each summer. This was my love letter to a place that became a favorite fast.
