For 39 years, Central Texas Food Bank has been leading the community in the fight against hunger. “The number of people turning to us for help has nearly doubled since the beginning of the pandemic. We have also seen an 80% decrease in the amount of food donated by grocery chains, manufacturers, distributors, and farms. As a result, we’re having to spend an unprecedented amount of money to buy food.
The Austin Reggae Festival, one of our biggest annual fundraisers, was canceled this year due to COVID-19.
Our partners, over 250 food pantries and soup kitchens throughout Austin and Central Texas, help us feed those in need. Without them we couldn’t do what we do. We’ll get through this because a caring community always comes together when it counts.” Tonight, June 10 at 8PM, join us in support of ctxfoodbank and the entire Austin community through the atxcommunityfdn fund.
