Quick tick from @thesidingguy “Pinching the fence with your index finger and thumb is a very simple and safe way to make a guide to make a straight cut if you’re started with a straight edge. The camera didn’t focus at the end, but the cut was perfectly straight looking down it. As you can see, you don’t even have to look at it while cutting to get a straight cut. If you haven’t used this method before, give it a shot. When I first tried it many years ago, I was a bit afraid. I realize now that there is nothing to be scared of.
