A safe environment is our greatest responsibility, and it must be the foundation of youth sports. It’s why our safeguarding & compliance processes are embedded in everything we do. We get it; safeguarding and compliance aren’t everyone’s favorite topics. It’s more fun to watch a video about a tournament than staff registration requirements. But safety is non-negotiable, and having the proper standards in place always comes before a trophy. We’ve implemented USOPC-standard background screening for all staff registering with US Club Soccer, along with other requirements in the process, like adverse eligibility checks and SafeSport training. Parents: We invite you to ask questions of your team, club, league and us. Get to know the safeguarding processes and the resources in place to make the sport safer for all participants, especially your children. It’s a topic we feel passionately about, and we know you do too.
