Hope everyone had a safe and Happy New Year! I'm still decompressing from what I witnessed over the last couple of days. I've witnessed extreme damage from Hurricanes, tornadoes, floods ect. But never have I been in a situation where everything around me is literally being burned to the ground. You see these situations in movies, but you never think you'll live it. I can still hear the sound of explosions and popping noises from cars and gas meters exploding. I can still visually see cars driving erratically fleeing the scene last minute and flames 100ft tall shooting into the air starting other fires on porches. What was even more impressive was seeing police officers by the dozens clearing out neighborhoods ahead of the fire line putting their own lives at risk. My car still smells like wildfire and this event will stick with me for quite sometime. I plan to continue to bring awareness to these communities so we don't forget when it becomes "old news". . . #marshallwildfire #wildfire...
