🪴 📌 Madeira Botanical Garden There are two popular gardens near Funchal, Madeira — the Madeira Botanical Garden and the Monte Palace Tropical Garden. You can access both by cable car, bus, taxi, or car. Here's my experience if you're getting there by cable car: 🌱 To get to the Botanical Garden, it actually requires TWO round trip cable car rides. In total, I paid €46 to commute and enter the garden. €22 to get up to Monte and back to Funchal, and another €24 round trip from Monte to the Botanical Gardens as well as admission to enter. 🌱 To get to the Monte Palace Tropical Garden, it's only one round trip cable car ride plus admission to enter, totaling around €40 for an adult. I didn't feel like the Botanical Garden experience was worth the price or the longer commute. I met other travelers who did the Monte Palace Tropical Garden and the photos and experience looked like it was stunning and well worth the price!
