One thing I wish I did was create a clinical diary.
I often didn’t have time (or energy) to do a deep dive into all the nuanced medications that I was using during my shift. I would look up on Up To Date what I needed to know, or ask a colleague.
When I got home, the last thing I wanted to do was “study” - I was exhausted.
But when it came time to prep for my interviews, I found myself wishing I had a list of the drugs/pathophysiologies I encountered.
Start making a list early of the drugs you use on your unit, and the pathophysiologies you encounter. Set aside some time on the weekend to look them up.

👉 Side Effects

It’ll serve you well, I promise.
