FAQ- what’s the difference between a DNP VS DNAP? At the end of the day, the DNP vs DNAP is pretty much interchangeable.
If you want to teach at a nursing school as a faculty member you'll want to go for the DNP because some nursing schools don't recognize the DNAP as a terminal degree. Don't ask me why.
BUT - with either the DNP or DNAP you can teach at a CRNA program 👏.
Both degrees produce the same prepared, independent CRNA, clinically speaking.
It really just has to do with who the anesthesia program is tied to for accreditation, the School of Nursing, or School of Health Sciences.
At the end of the day, what degree you graduate with (unless you specifically want to teach at a nursing school) doesn't matter so much and wouldn't weigh into my school picking choices, personally speaking of course.
