Guilloché is an artisan technique in which a very precise, intricate and repetitive pattern is mechanically engraved into an underlying material with the help of a machine. The only problem: Those machines went out of production decades ago and are extremely rare. After a long search Chronoswiss recently found the third Guilloché machine (dating back to the 1930’s) for the Atelier Lucerne. To make it production-ready the Team completely restored it and laid the foundation for new mesmerizing dials.
