With the WBCSD Leading Women Awards just around the corner, we are spotlighting women at Nestlé working toward advancing the SDGs. Ghazal is such a colleague.
.
A native from Iran, Ghazal is active on too many fronts to list – but responsible sourcing and environmental sustainability are the two topics she is most passionate about. Ghazal has been leading the agriculture department of Nestlé in Iran since its inception. She has overseen the development of large-scale farming operations to produce infant grade quality milk – involving 42,000 cows, and 4,000 families – with sustainability, animal welfare, food safety and quality always front and center. She has been involved in the rollout of multiple water stewardship and biodiversity projects, and leads a female empowerment program in the dairy and agricultural sectors.
