I visited the Nescafé factory, which by the way is the largest soluble coffee factory in the world. Recently this factory committed to the government to reduce its energy consumption. We also showed around a group of visitors and explained what technology will enable us to reach that goal. The work done by our team of engineers is impressive!!! They integrate the biomass, which is a source of renewable energy, into the production process thanks to a technology called “Caldera de Bagazo” which uses the organic waste from the coffee to produce steam and thus satisfy the demand of the factory so that we can all enjoy a delicious cup of Nescafé. By the way, each bottle contains 70% of coffee harvested in Mexico, so we all win; the producers, the environment, and the coffee lovers. This is why I love my job: I can see how the creation of shared value in our value chain becomes a reality. #EmployeeTakeover #Nescafé #Nestlé #Nestle #CSV #NescafePlan
