“Cisgender” and “cis” are not slurs no matter how much Elon Musk and anti-queer trolls want them to be. Here’s why:

“Cisgender” is a term used to refer to anyone whose gender identity matched the physical sex they were assigned at birth. According to the Oxford English dictionary the etymology or origin of “cisgender” dates back to the early 90s and the prefixes “cis” and “trans” have scientific roots. While we use these prefixes to refer to many things (including gender identity) the terms aren’t rooted in political or “liberal” ideology as some wish to believe.
