Bee on the lookout! 🐝 Bees are amazing pollinators. And, pollen plays a big role in their life cycle, too. Did you know Minnesota has many native bees? In fact, we have over 400 species of native bees, ranging from carpenter bees, mason bees, sweat bees, leafcutter bees, and the majestic bumble bee. Honey bees are one of the most commonly thought of bee. They are not native and are used mainly for agriculture to produce honey. We love the product they produce, but they are not the most important bee to our native habitats. Our native habitats need native bees to thrive.
