After almost 40 years of homelessness and drug addiction, Matt was able to turn his life around. With a strong support system, treatment, and the love of his family, Matt got his life back. This is what we need in California. We need to help people get off the streets, get the treatment they need, overcome addiction, and rebuild their lives. We cannot continue to fund a system where people remain trapped in cycles of homelessness and addiction. California is at a breaking point. In every city I visit across the state, homelessness, drug addiction, and untreated mental illness are out of control.
