😨 What would you do if you witnessed someone choking? Red Cross volunteer Tiffani Grochalski jumped into action to save a choking person’s life, all while wearing an elf costume.

On Dec. 3, 2022, Tiffani was dressed in holiday attire and selling baked goods in support of the Red Cross at the Misawa Air Base Winterfest in Japan, when she heard Robyn Kronick, a military spouse, yell for help!
Her mother Sonia Quinonez was struggling to breathe after a piece of bread became lodged in her throat.
“I was baby-wearing my daughter on my chest and couldn’t step in to help her, so I began shouting for help as loud as I could,” said Robyn.
Without hesitation, Tiffani used her Red Cross training to jump into action and provide immediate care.
