We won’t forget what happened a year ago. ▪️ We won’t forget Republicans who claimed to be patriots incited a violent mob to desecrate our country’s historical grounds. ▪️ We won’t forget folks who condemned protests for the unjust killing of Black people, but encouraged a violent mob to destroy the Nation’s Capitol. ▪️ We won’t forget that Republicans claimed to “back the blue” and assaulted dozens of Capitol police officers, resulting in the death of Officer Brian Sicknick. We’re thankful for our #CBC members, as well as all of the Congressional staffers who will not let the reality of January 6th— and the terror that we felt that day —be forgotten about, but still remain steadfast in their commitment to achieving equity in America.
