I hold the keys (well for the most part) we all know Mark Z and his crew do what they want. But back to my point. It’s #PrideMonth I’m a Black Woman who happens to be queer. Who loves God with ferocity. Who challenges the status quo at every turn. Who spent years fighting herself. Who finally decided enough was enough. It’s ok to be. What a delicate balance that is. To walk between and outside the lines of a world that doesn’t appreciate you on either side. Your constantly see and hear: Your Blackness is too much. Your non straightness is too much. Your faith can’t look like that? Where does one even begin ? You show up. As yourself. For yourself. Sometimes by yourself. For those who won’t even think about showing up. And you do it daily.
