I remember a time when I would censor myself. Code switch in corporate settings. Hold back from expressing all of me. I’m not sure when or how...but somewhere along the line I realized that 1.) that shits exhausting. 2.) if you can’t respect me as I am, that’s your problem not mine. Whew. The freedom!!
