With almost a year under her belt, hear from “Davie” about her experience! “As the lead liner, my team is step 2️⃣ of the boat building process! We layer fiberglass on the liner, and without it, you wouldn’t be able to stand in the boat. When I first started here, I had never touched a boat before! I quickly learned after my two weeks of intense training how to lay down larger pieces of fiberglass, which is much stronger than smaller, patched together pieces. It sounds silly, but the fiberglass will tell you where it wants to go. It’s definitely an art form I have learned! As far as timing goes, the 47 foot takes us about a day and half to lay as it’s our largest model, but we can usually finish one liner a day.
