It’s Dogwood’s Wednesday Woof! 🐶 Say hello to the lovely Ellarix, the longest-stay dog at lynchburghumane.
This friendly girl came to the Lynchburg Humane Society (LHS) in April of 2021 when her original owner surrendered her. Though Ellarix is about 8 years old, she plays just like a puppy. Her favorite games are fetch and tug-of-war.
She enjoys taking strolls outside and doesn’t mind the leash—and when she gets home, she’s ready to relax in a comfy spot or spend time with her humans. LHS says she does well on her own and would be perfectly fine in a working family. Ellarix loves humans of all ages, but she’s pickier when it comes to other dogs.
“Most of all, she just wants to be next to you, and be with you, and get lots of love,” said Claire LeFew of LHS.
LHS hopes to have her adopted right out of foster care, where she has been for over a year. Her adoption fee has been sponsored by Focused Choice Dog Training. For more information, contact
