A fun queer time was had retrogamebarpdx with its Zelda-themed burlesque/drag show "Queers of the Kingdom."
The queer-fronted and friendly event was 21+ and sold out quickly. Proceeds from the tickets went to trevorproject, a nation-wide organization supporting trans people and youth.
“The Trevor Project is personally close to me. It’s really helped some people that I love a lot and I think sometimes supporting a big company is good because they can achieve a lot,” said Law Johnson, creator and emcee of the event. With laws tightening on the LGBTQIA+ community across the country, Johnson said it was important to support and help queer people here in Portland, but also those elsewhere.
