The signs were always there… Anyone who spent time watching Austin Reaves’ college tape already knew the scoring wasn’t accidental. He was getting to his spots, finishing through contact, and making the right pass out of the same actions night after night at Oklahoma. Going undrafted and starting on a two-way deal didn’t change what was on film; it just meant most teams decided not to trust it. Five years later the Lakers locked him in on a four-year, $185 million deal this past summer. Last season he put up 23.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.5 assists while playing as the clear second option next to Luka. Early this year the same numbers are holding, and the role hasn’t changed—he’s the guy the offense runs through when Luka is off the floor or needs a release valve. - @crssd for more basketball content! - pitlessball/X - #nba #austinreaves #lakers
