From April through September, jccchicago is bringing a private collection of 70 lovingly restored violins, violas and cellos played by Jewish musicians before and during the Holocaust across the state for cultural exhibitions, performances and community education through the initiative Violins of Hope. The violins were used at the New Trier Spring Music Festival this month, where musicians were able to join this initiative in showcasing Jewish stories of resilience, resistance, and hope.
