🌊 When it comes to flooding response and recovery, we have a well-organized plan in place! Here's the order of our operations and service objectives within the city's traveled right-of-ways: 1️⃣ First, we prioritize the safety of our community by barricading and closing streets affected by flooding. Arterial roads and secondary roads are closed, with our dedicated crews progressing from west to east, focusing on areas with the highest traffic volumes. Response time goal: within 2-3 hours of reported roadway flooding. 2️⃣ Once the water recedes and it's safe, our Public Works team jumps into action, clearing debris and heavy sediment from the streets to the shoulders. We start with arterials and then move to other roads, following a west-to-east progression based on traffic volumes.
