While it may seem like everyone is flocking to Europe this summer or spending their days relaxing on the beach, you’d be surprised to find out some of the most inhospitable and potentially dangerous destinations are the most popular among recent travelers. That’s right, folks are taking “adventure travel” to the next level and swapping out poolside aperol spritzes for long treks, wild winds, and extreme temperatures.
A study by luxury cruise company Antarctica Cruises named the planet's most extreme spots that people are still very keen on visiting. The company analyzed data around the most inhospitable travel destinations on Earth, and ranked them depending on how in-demand they are with travelers regardless of their not-so-breezy reputation.
